Our Champagne Pick!

The Heidsieck Monopole “Blue Top” Brut NV is a classically styled Champagne from one of the oldest houses in the region. It is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier. Light in color in the glass and vivacious with tiny bubbles on the palate, this Champagne shows light notes of biscuit alongside citrus fruits. An excellent aperitif wine as well as perfect brunch bubbly. Normally $44.99 per bottle, $39.99 per bottle through the holidays. Mix or match in a case of 12 bottles and the price is $36.

New Wines

Sylvester Vineyards California Sauvignon Blanc 2007- Crisp and refreshing, this is a straightforward easy drinking Sauvignon Blanc made with grapes from all over California. Varietally correct, it's a perfect quaffer before a meal. $8.99per bottle.

Sylvester Vineyards California Merlot 2006- Very well made for the money with a nice suppleness on the palate. Plum notes with a touch of milk chocolate. $8.99per bottle.

Chateaude Vaux 'Les Gryphees' Moselle 2007- This is a very cool wine.  It's from the Moselle appellation, an area in France which has the same famous Moselriver running through it. A blend of Pinot Gris, Muller-Thurgau, Auxerrois and Gewurztraminer, this is a mouth watering, tasty white wine which is easy to drink by itself or would work with all sorts of fish dishes and salads. This is Spring in a glass! $16.99per bottle.
